Android 1.5 Cupcake
Android is an open source operating system for smartphones, PDAs and mobile handsets designed by Android. it uses as a basic kernel Linux monolithic. The type chosen license is Apache 2.0 and GPL 2.
The first is using the Mobile HTC G1 (October 2008) and the latest in mobile Android's HTC and Samsung Magic Galaxy (I7500).
The 1.5 version of Android is based on a kernel 2.6.27 Linux.
As news:
- New version of the WebKit rendering engine (Internet navigation and reactivity, increased speed)
- Virtual Keyboard
- The Widgets and Live folders (Files are automatically updating) home page
- Recording video via the camera (after the quality depends on your mobile)
- Stereo Bluetooth support (A2DP profile and AVCRP)
- Video Playback MPEG4 & 3GP formats
Linux on iPhone!
On November 28 last, the blog Linux On The iPhone, announced the successful porting of the Core 2.6 out of Apple iPhones in the first and second generation.
After a brief test, we deliver links and a short video. It's worth trying. Remember to make backups because there is no guarantee.
